Kitchen Table Download on theApp Store

Privacy policy

Effective September 28, 2026

The short version
  • There is no account.
  • The developer collects no data about you or your children.
  • There are no analytics, ads or trackers.
  • The only network request downloads a public rules file.
  • iCloud sync uses your family's own Apple Account.
  • You can delete all data from inside the app.

No account

Kitchen Table does not ask you to sign up or sign in. There is no Kitchen Table account, username or password, and no server that stores your records.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter stays on your devices: students' names and grades, attendance, hours, subjects, books, work photos, test results, transcripts and notes. It is stored inside the app on your iPhone or iPad and protected by your device's passcode. You can also lock the app with Face ID in Settings.

No data collected by the developer

The developer does not collect, receive, sell or share any personal information. Kitchen Table contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software from the developer or anyone else. If you choose to share crash reports with developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple provides those anonymously under Apple's own privacy policy.

The only network request

At most once a day, Kitchen Table downloads one public file and its signature from kitchentable.sanghuynhxuan.com: the list of each state's homeschool rules, sources and check dates. The request contains no information about you, your children or your records, and no identifier. Like any web request, it reaches the server with your device's IP address and the app's name and version. The web server keeps standard access logs of these requests to run the site and keep it secure. They are not combined with any other data, not shared, and not used to identify anyone.

iCloud sync

With Kitchen Table Pro, you can turn on iCloud sync. Your records are then stored in your own private iCloud database, under your family's Apple Account, and handled under Apple's privacy policy. The developer cannot access that data. Sync works between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Records reach another Apple Account only when you send a backup file yourself.

Backups and portfolios

Backup files and portfolio PDFs are created on your device. They go only where you send them, such as the Files app, email or an evaluator.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple. The developer receives no payment details or personal information from Apple about you.

Children

Kitchen Table is made for parents. It records information about children only as entered by their parent. That information stays on the family's devices and iCloud, and goes elsewhere only when the parent sends a backup file or a PDF.

Deleting your data

To delete everything, open Settings › Delete all data in the app (Settings is the gear on the Today screen). This removes all records from the device and, if sync is on, from your iCloud. Deleting the app also removes its data from that device.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
